Of great historical significance is this vintage souvenir of JAMESTOWN, VIRGINIA commemorating May 13, 1607 when the first permanent settlers arrived from England.
The artwork on this decal is quite extraordinary, with 3 ships represented in great detail: the 40 ton GODSPEED, 20 ton DISCOVERY and the 120 ton SUSAN CONSTANT (this decal has an error and describes the Susan Constant as weighing 400 tons). They are well drawn and very brightly colored.
The decal was produced in the 1950's by IMPKO and is still in its original printed glassine sleeve.  It measures 3 3/4" wide by 2 5/8" tall and is in as close to mint condition as you'll find after decades of storage.
A rare and important find for any vintage Americana collection.
