    Description

This is a vintage 1960's brochure entitled "Tour Historic Alexandria Virginia; On Your Way to Mount Vernon; Home Town of George Washington, George Mason, and Robert E. Lee".
The cover features an illustration of colonists at Christ Church in 1773.  Inside are descriptions of numerous Historic Highlights (such as Lee Corner, Christ Church, The Free School, Friendship Fire Co, Captain's Row, Old Farmers' Market, Gadsby's Tavern, Lord Fairfax House, etc) on a detailed map of Alexandria.  There are also descriptions of Mount Vernon, Gunston Hall, Arlington and Woodlawn, along with a locator map highlighting State Roads 1 and 350 (as this was published before the days of the interstate highways).
The brochure is an 8-panel fold-out design, and measures approximately 4" x 9" when folded.
It is in Excellent condition, with no markings, tears, folds or creases.
If you don't already have this item, it will be a fun addition to your vintage Alexandria or Virginia travel collection!
