Description

Here we have a Coin Silver Tea Caddy with an acorn finial by William Adams, New York, New York
c.1831-1843. The tea caddy measures 6 1/2" tall to finial, 5 3/4" wide and 4" deep. The caddy is in very good condition for its age with age appropriate wear, scratches, a small ding on the back(
hard to photograph
)
and has
NO
monogram
. The caddy has a palmette border, an empty monogram wreath, finely chased foliate decoration and weighs 548 grams or 17.61 ozt. and is beautiful. The caddy is marked on the back with W. ADAMS in cartouche(twice) and NEW YORK in cartouche(twice).
