    Description

Unusual Antique Carved Ebony Tambour / Crochet Hook
    Continental * Circa 1870
This unusual antique tambour or crochet hook is made of ebony and ornately carved all over.
The collar and thumbscrew are brass.
The top unscrews to reveal a storage compartment for holding the steel hooks (There are 3 super tiny steel hooks).
The condition is excellent and the top screws on well. The thumbscrew holds the hooks securely. It has a beautiful old patina and measures 4 1/8" long with a hook in place. I've never seen a tambour hook in this style before
    .
I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
that it is exactly as presented.
