    Description

Awaiting your purchase is a superb and rare pair of unmarked coin silver sugar tongs from the
    American Colonial
period or perhaps a little later,
    1760–90
. The long arms and ogee shaped elbow suggest a possible
    Philadelphia
origin. The arms are hand decorated with line borders and wriggle work scalloping, and there is an oval cartouche to the elbow engraved with script initials "NHR". This elegant and attractive item remains in
very good to excellent antique condition
with age-appropriate wear. A superb collector's piece in wonderful condition!
