Presented is a fabulous American coin silver teapot by Gerardus Boyce of New York. This piece dates to around 1835-1845. The pot is beautifully decorated with applied bands of floral and foliate designs at various points around the base, body and lid. This is a large, impressive piece of American coin silver, and would be a great addition to any collection.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is an old patch repair to one side, which is hard to notice without close inspection. There are a few dings around the widest point of the body, likely the result of dents being removed professionally. There are no splits, no leaks, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The underside of the pot is stamped with the maker's mark for Gerardus Boyce of New York. This piece is tested and guaranteed coin (900) purity silver.
The pot stands about 10 inches tall
This piece weighs 1056 grams or 37.3 regular ounces.
