Offered for sale is
a pair of
Southern Coin Silver Table spoons
made in
Richmond
Va. date marked 1853 by Mitchell & Tyler.
The Table Spoons are
8 1/2" in length and together weigh approximately 4.55 troy ozs
.
The back of the spoon handles have the silversmith hallmark, the date mark for 1853, the word coin we believe  although the mark is
worn and hard to make out.

The Table Spoons are in used condition with a set of script
Monograms

on
the handle
.
They
have some tip surface wear, and a few slight dimples in the bowls
commensurate with the age of these pieces and normal usage.
