NOS GM 302 Chevy Steel Crankshaft 68-69 Camaro Z/28 1178 Large Journal REAL DEAL

I recently acquired a number of parts that came with a 1969 Z28 that was purchased out of an estate. The car had been stored since the late 70s/early 80's and had a bunch of NOS parts stored with it that were meant for the build. The guy who bought the Camaro out of the estate was putting a LS engine in the car and was not concerned with originality. I bought the engine, transmission, and other parts from him and plan to list them here on Ebay. The forging number on this crank is 1178(GM Part number 3941178). The 1178 crank was used in 1969 Z28 models.. This crank directly interchanges with the earlier made 3279 crankshaft (3923279) . Finding a true 1178  large journal 302 crank is a near impossible task. Finding a crank like this one that has never been ran is almost unheard of.
This crank is in very good unused condition as shown. This crank was purchased new from GM for the 1969 Z28 mentioned above. It was balanced and installed in a 69 4 bolt block that was intended to be installed in the Camaro. The car was put in cool dry storage in 1980 and was never finish. The block was wrapped up and stored with the crank installed which preserved it beautifully. The crank had a timing sprocket installed which I removed and the owner painted the rear crank flange in rustoleum. He was very particular and coated every bare metal part that would be exposed to air in primer. The journals are standard size and awesome.
