    Description

In this auction you will find a pair of North and Judd - Buermann Horse Head Spurs.  They bear the Hercules Bronzeworks and 5 point star stamps (above the chain attachment on the inside and under the strap button on the inside) that denote they were forged by Buermann and also carry the North and Judd anchor on the  bottom of the spur shank.  I would guess these spurs were made between 1880 and 1914 based on the stamps and placement.  They are in perfect condition for their age showing some wear and the expected patina.  The rowels are all intact and straight and the rowel disc spins freely.  The horse head embellishment shows some minor wear but the details are sharp to the touch.  The heel chains are complete and no signs of repair are visible.  The spurs will come with the pictured floral tooled strap that appears to have been with them maybe from the start.
These spurs, and others items to be listed soon, came from a large family collection that is being disbursed.  Please look at the pics carefully and make your own judgement  as I am not a collector or expert  but will gladly attempt to answer any questions that you may have..
