Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryū, often referred to simply as Jikishinkage-ryū or Kashima Shinden, is a traditional school of the Japanese martial art of swordsmanship. The school was founded in the mid-16th century, based upon older styles of swordsmanship, and is one of the few ancient Japanese martial arts schools still existing today.
Jirokichi Yamada (1863-1930) was the 15th and last official headmaster or sōke of Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryū. He was a student of the 14th sōke, Kenkichi Sakakibara.
