Hotchkiss & Schreuder Syracuse, NY coin silver serving scoop

Description

This is a really impressive looking coin silver serving scoop that has a faint gold wash on the bowl.
It is marked H & S which stands for Hotchkiss & Schreuder who operated out of Syracuse, NY.
The other mark is Hixson & Lyke who were the retailers who sold the scoop.
The scoop is monogrammed with the letter T.
It's
8 7/8” long and the widest part of the scoop measures 2 1/4” wide.
It's in very good vintage condition with a patina from use over about 160 years and no major defects.
It's made from very substantial coin silver. The floral engraving on the bowl is magnificent. It weighs 2.97 oz. (84.2 gm), 2.71 troy oz.
