    Description

For sale is an early coin silver teaspoon by General James Wolf of Wilmington, Delaware, circa 1810.  The spoon is 5 7/8 long and weighs 14 grams.  It has a swaged shovel-shaped drop, squared shoulders and a downturned fiddle handle.  The spoon is monogrammed "JJ" on the handle front as shown.  It is marked [G.J.WOLF] in a rounded banner mark.
Condition on the spoon is fairly good.  There is some bowl wear, minor bowl dents, and stubborn tarnish spots.  It has not been buffed.  A classic piece of Delaware coin silver.
