Vintage French Stockman Mannequin,  Dress Form,  Siegel Stockman Original,  Tailors Dummy, Jeanne D'arc living, French Nordic Decor
A beautiful example of a Vintage French Mannequin dating from the 20s, with the slender figure that was fashionable in this era.  This mannequin was made by the prestigious Stockman Siégel company in Paris.  The 2 men joined forces in the early 1900s having both made mannequins previously.
The mannequin is stamped on the front Stockman, Paris; BREVETE S.G.D.G.    At the top near the neck it is stamped with her size 44.
The mannequin has lovely dimensions and has aged  gracefully!   The linen is hand stitched in places, it has aged and is a lovely tea stained color.    There are stains on the linen form age and a few little water marks.  There are some little tears in places.   The paint is aged and faded to reveal the wood, I have left the wood in an as found condition so you may wish to wax and buff it.  There are traces of old woodworm but I have treated this as a precaution.  The base has a little wood missing from the feet due to old woodworm.   The base is adjustable and the tightening ring is embossed with Stockman.  The collar is a different color wood to the base.  The top has lost the decorative finial.  She has a papier mache body and her bust is a little dented now.   She is original and genuine and she has lived a little.  Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
She would look great for your photo shoots or to display period clothing or accessories.  She would look good as a prop in your atelier.
