A Beautifully Detailed, Complete 428 Cobra Jet Engine with an Automatic Flexplate is ,250.
The listing picture and pictures of the assembly process is the actual engine you will receive. There are pictures of engines that I have built and sold.  Please note - All, Belts, Hoses, Engine Wire Harnesses, Hose Clamps, Motor Mounts (for Mustang) and Motor Mount Hardware are included.
The block and heads of my engines are machined and assembled at a professional machine shop.  They have the best equipment in the industry.  They have been at the same location in business since 1969.  They have had the same phone number since 1965.
    Question:
    Hmmmm, how?
    Answer:
He's an old drag racer who has his shop at his home (acres) since 1965. He opened shop to the public in 1969.
Here is a YouTube video of this engine, Dated 9C26 running:
    https://youtu.be/fRuTsR8cZdg.
It costs me ,500 to gather, assemble parts, and build one of these engines; therefore I arrive at my listing price: 16,250 / .87 = ,680.00.
This rotating assembly is Externally Balanced with both a Flexplate and with a Flywheel, so

    Buyers - Especially International Buyers
A Ford FE 428 Cubic Inch Engine and a Ford 410 Cubic Engine use the same 3.98" Stroke Crankshaft. These engines
    Should retain their External Balance
as designed by Ford.  If you buy one of my engines, and you need parts for maintenance or repair, you can shop for Ford 428 FE Engine parts with confidence - the parts will fit and will work.
This is not true for an engine built with aftermarket parts or an engine that has been modified from it's original design - you'd better know what parts to shop for based on the engine builder's choice of parts and modifications - return shipping, restocking fees, order, re-order, returns not accepted, be prepared, etc...
Don't buy an engine built with aftermarket parts or that has been modified from it's original design - this is especially true for international buyers.
Folks, I do this as a hobby, and my prices are, "AT COST".  I do not make money off of this.  I have retired from one job; I am working toward my second retirement.  Buying, Selling, Trading 428 Cobra Jet Parts and Engines DOES NOT pay my bills. You CAN NOT start with nothing, and build one of these engines cheaper that what I am selling them for - it's impossible.  The parts/components that I use in these engine builds fall into 3 categories:
    - Core Engine Components
    - Original/Vintage Parts
    - Retail Parts (Reproduction and/or Aftermarket) Parts
    Core Engine Components -
    These are
    ALWAYS
48+year old Authentic, Ford FE 428 Cobra Jet Parts used in my engine builds
    :
Cylinder Block, Cylinder Heads, Crank Shaft, Connecting Rods, Exhaust Manifolds, Intake Manifold
    Original/Vintage Parts
    -
These are Authentic Ford Parts, they are FE and they are items that would have been used on 428 Cobra Jet Engines (there may have been other applications). Some of these parts, depending on availability and if they are available as reproduction items may be used as reproduction items.  In some cases these parts may be pulled from aftermarket and/or reproduction items to keep cost within price quoted
    :
Alternator Bracket Set, Crankshaft Pulley, Water Pump, Water Pump Pulley, Timing Cover, Oil Filter Adapter, PCV Fittings, Exhaust Manifolds, Valve Covers, Carburetor (Service Carburetor in these builds), Oil Pan, Engine Backing Plate, Rocker Arm Assemblies, Drip Rails, Valley Pan, Oil Slinger, Crank Spacer, Harmonic Balancer, Water Neck/Thermostat Housing, etc...
    Retail Parts
    -
These are Reproduction and/or Aftermarket Parts
    :
Engine Hardware Kit, Breather Cap, Pilot Bushing, Carburetor Spacer, Thermostat, Oil Pressure Sending Unit, Temperature Sending Unit, Vacuum Hoses, Radiator Hoses, Hose Clamps, Motor Mount and Insulators, Fuel Pump, Power Steering Pump, Water Pump Pulley, Coil, Wiring Harnesses, Distributor, Distributor Cap and Rotor, Starter, Engine Gasket Set, Pistons and Bearings, Stainless Steel Valves, Viton Valve Stem Seals, Fuel Line, Choke Tubes and on, and on...
In this case COMPLETE means - Complete from Carburetor to Oil Pan, Complete from 428CJ Exhaust Manifold to 428CJ Exhaust Manifold and Complete from Clutch/Cooling Fan to Flexplate or Flywheel.  Manual transmission configuration includes a pilot bushing in the aft of the crankshaft.
Complete means drop-in, connect included hoses and electrical connections, crank, (perform camshaft/lifter break-in) and go driving! Yes it includes a starter, and includes alternator and engine gauge wiring harnesses.
