. I have placed pictures of my research in the photos above. This stunning piece has a raised oval beveled base beneath an elegant crescent shaped bowl with a spoon by the same maker. While the spoon may not have been original to this bowl, it is an excellent pairing by the same maker. This great set has only some pin-prick dings, a period mixed letter script monogram of what I believe to be LMC on Both Salt and Spoon, a period bold letter monogram on the back of the spoons end of MBB
,
some scratches from gentle use and care
. It is an excellent set for any number of uses from salt to small condiment dishes or finger bowls and they make an elegant addition to almost any table setting or service as well as a great piece for the collector of antique Early American silver.
