    Early 1900's Adirondack Sewing Bowl with Owl!
    The Adirondack Style is influenced by the rugged mountain terrain of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York and the great camps that were built there. The remoteness of the Adirondack region necessitated the use of ingenuous materials. Rustic elegance achieve with the use of the native materials left as close to their natural state as possible is the hallmark of Adirondack Style.
    This wonderful approximate 6" to 6½" sewing "bowl" exemplifies the Adirondack Style. The bowl area has been created from a log. surrounding the rim of the "bowl" are an owl, a needle cup "cushion", and 6 pegs; 5 for holding spools of thread and the 6th, shorter one for holding a thimble. It is 4½" from the bottom to the top of the owl's head.
    Two of the spool pegs need to be replaced and the pin cushion needs to be replaced in the cup holder.
