Description
E. and D. Kinsey Antique Coin Silver Teaspoon Cincinnati, OH Newport, KY 1844-1861. Shipped with USPS First Class. E. and D. Kinsey also worked as silversmiths out of Newport, Kentucky within the 1844-1861 time frame. With coin silver, anything from Kentucky is considered SOUTHERN and is highly collectible!! This rare and lovely teaspoon has a fiddle tipt handle and is approximately 6” long and the bowl measures approximately 1.25” across. There is a name in script on the front of the handle that looks like Amy June Hirling. The makers’ mark for Edward and David Kinsey (E. and D. Kinsey) appears on the back and is very readable. This item is pre-owned and shows wear commensurate with use in the form of minor surface scratches and one small bowl dimple (see photos). This is normal due to use and it is actually in very good condition considering it’s age and use. I am an avid coin silver collector of 15+ years and I can tell you this is a desirable and quality specimen. The only reason I am selling it is because I already own a duplicate spoon. Please look at photos carefully and ask any questions you may have before bidding. I calculate shipping costs based on any potential buyer’s zip code. I use very low weight (but protective) shipping materials. Postage rate is FIRM at at least. That is the rock bottom, lowest shipping fee they charge for packages at first class. If your item is larger (or heavier), requiring a box, please wait for me to send you the shipping rate or go with the higher rate that eBay has put on my listing. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. US SALES ONLY PLEASE! I was a long time seller on eBay some 15 years ago with 100% positive feedback. Bid with confidence! Thanks for looking!!
