These two coin silver serving spoons were made by the silversmiths
Duhme & Co.
of
Cincinnati, Ohio,
in the very early pattern
No. 1
introduced in
1869
.
These beautifully fashioned spoons, which have a twist stem and engraved handles with wrigglework borders, remain in
excellent antique condition
with surface wear
commensurate with age and prior use (though they appear never to have been used!),
and
bear engraved initials WLB to the handles.
They hail from a name you can trust in silver tableware!
