    Description

    Up for bid is an unusual Connecticut coin silver teaspoon from the Housatonic Valley Agricultural Society. The spoon is 6 3/8 inches long and weighs 23 grams. The spoon has no drop, sugarloaf shoulders and an upturned oval fiddle handle decorated with pricked and bright-cut engraving as shown.  The spoon is monogrammed “Lizzie” on the handle front.  The spoon is marked “COIN” and “H.V.A.S.” as shown.
    Condition on the spoon is good.  There is very minor tip wear and a few tiny dings, and the monogram seems faint.  A handsome coin silver spoon!
