    Engraved to a handle front with script letters "DKD"

    "Lion" facing right;  "W";  "King" bust - attributed to
    Jacob Wood of NYC, ca1834-1839;
    "B & R" into rectangular punch - attributed to
    silversmiths and retailers Brower & Rusher of NYC ca1834-1942
    All marks are crisp and clear.
    Made in New York, N.Y. ca.1834-1842
