    Description

Coin Silver Serving Spoon – Henry Meyer, Newburgh Buffalo NY 1835-48
Coin Silver Serving Spoon, marked “HBMyer” in a rectangle, a sheaf of wheat hallmark, and a right looking eagle hallmark.  Henry B. Meyer, worked in Newburgh New York and Buffalo New York 1835-1848.
9 1/2” in length.  Initials "NH" or “NIC” engraved in early flowery script with some bright cut on front of handle.  Flared, chamfered, rounded shoulders, with broad raised drop on back of bowl.  Tip of bowl has some wear, but shape has not been impacted.  No dents or other damage to the spoon.  A nice example of early NY silver.
