Description
First, please disregard that fuzzy black mark that appears in the pictures. It is NOT on the item but in my camera.Offered here for the first time is a very early 1800's coin silver cake server.
It was produced by D. M. Tyler of Boston, Massachusetts around 1810.
It is in very good antique condition with only usual patina and a very, very slight bend at the tip that is so slight I can't get a picture of it and mentioned only for full disclosure.
Well marked on the back: COIN and D.M. Tyler,
This fine piece measures approx. 9 1/4" in length. It is monogramed with a N.
Early pieces of coin silver are getting difficult to find as most were melted down and remade into newer pieces. This server is in very good antique condition.
Please check out all the pictures provided carefully as they are part of the description and show the item and its condition. You are getting the item shown, as shown, as is. If you have any questions please ask. Do allow me time to respond as I am not always on the computer.
My items are from estates, auctions, consignors and other such venues. They are not new. I am very fussy about what I offer on ebay. I tell you everything I know about an item and what I see. However, I am not an expert in anything.
PayPal is accepted and I only ship to confirmed addresses within the continental United States. All shipping includes tracking and USPO insurance. I package very well. In case of damage the buyer agrees and is responsible to open the claim with the USPO for reimbursement. This can be done by taking the item and its packaging to the USPO or going to the USPO site on-line.
Thank you.
