Antique S Kirk & Son Small Coin Silver Mug “ Fred ” Floral Repousse 1880-90
Gorgeous little mug. I believe this mark was used 1880-90, according to the Stieff Company website. The 11 oz indicates coin silver, not sterling. Kirk held out longer than most American companies in switching over to the sterling standard.
The mug is 2 ½” tall, the handle sits slightly higher. 2 ¼” in diameter. 3 5/8 from the handle to the opposite edge of the mug.
2.9 troy ounces.
Inscribed “Fred from cousin Fred”.
