    Description

Presented is a mixed set of late 19th century American silver made by Knowles
& Ladd. This set includes 10 teaspoons, 1 fork and 1 tablespoon. All of the
pieces are in the Queen pattern. The teaspoons are coin silver purity and the
fork and tablespoon are sterling silver purity. All of the handles have a
wonderful, raised detailed fruit decoration. 6 of the teaspoons have an S
monogram, the other 4 teaspoons have a LEJ monogram. The tablespoon has a PSW
monogram, and the fork bears the name Julia on the front of its handle. This is
    a great, antique set.
This set includes:  10 Teaspoons: 5 7/8 inches long.  1 Tablespoon: 7 inches
    long.  1 Fork: 6 1/2 inches long.
All of the teaspoons are marked coin for 900 purity silver. Both the fork
and tablespoon are marked sterling and the fork is also marked for the retailer
    Warner & Parker.
This set is in fabulous overall condition considering its age. The six
teaspoons with an S monogram have the most crisp raised designs. The texture on
the raised fruits on the other four teaspoons along with the tablespoon and fork
are pretty worn. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals
    and no repairs.
The combined weight of the set is 290 grams or 10.2 ounces.
