Description
Presented is a handcrafted, American coin silver spoon made by George Alexander & Peter Riker of New York between 1797 and 1800. This piece was made in a classical style for its time and the handle is hand engraved with bright cut designs surrounding a monogram of the initials JB. The bowl of the spoon has been polished to a high finish, but only the bowl. No doubt a dent was removed from the bowl.The back is marked A & Riker. This spoon is guaranteed to be .900 silver, coin purity.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition for its age. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 9 inches long and weighs 48 grams.
