ANTIQUE, BOSTON, MASS REPOUSSE COIN SILVER MUSTARD POT, 2 SPOONS, mid 19th C.

Description

Hello & Welcome ! This Boston, Massachusetts Repousse Mustard Pot is in Fabulous Antique Condition.  Cylindrical form featuring Repousse and Chased Floral decoration to the sides, having a hinged lid with engraved accents and a scrolled handle with Leaf Thumbrest, including a red colored glass interior insert. Impressed with a maker's mark for Brackett, Crosby & Brown ( active 1849-1850) as well as "PURE COIN" and "BOSTON" marks.  Together with two Fiddle-handled spoons; consisting of an unmarked mustard spoon having a scalloped bowl and engraved "JL" initials to handle, and a teaspoon having worn engraved initials and a "J. Hartt" maker's mark for Jonathan Hartt of Canandaigua, NY (active 1810-1815). Total weight excluding glass liner approximately 5.035 ozt.  Three pieces total. Dimensions for Mustard Pot 3 5/8", spoons 5 1/8" and 5 3/8" L.  These early to mid 19th Century pieces are Very Good to Fine overall condition with minor wear and surface scratches; mustard pot with a few minute dents, liner with some scratches and possible post-production polishing to rim; mustard spoon with bend to stem; teaspoon with slightly worn blow tip and small dents to bowl.  The Provenance from a Pennsylvania Private Collection.  You will be proud to use and display these Wonderful Pieces.  Please see all pictures to really appreciate the Detail, Design, Workmanship and Condition as I have done my best to describe and show.
