    Description

Antique Celluloid & Sterling Silver Glove Darner / Needle Case
    American * Circa 1900s
This beautiful little darner is made of celluloid. It's multi colored in the middle and the little eggs at each end are what is called
"French Ivory" because of the grain pattern
. Those ends would have fit into glove fingers so they could be darned. One egg unscrews so that the hollow handle could be used as a needle case.
It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage. There is a sterling silver medallion/cartouche in the middle for a monogram, but it isn't personalized. It measures 4 3/8" long.
I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
that it is exactly as presented.
** Full Insurance is included in the low shipping price for all of my auctions. **
