    Description

    Presented is a fine old American coin silver spoon. This piece was made by Marcus Merriman & Co of Connecticut, and dates to the early 1800s. The spoon is done in a simple style, with a cut corner, almost dog-nose design to the end of the handle. The terminal of the handle has a monogram of EM in elegant script.
    This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
    The spoon is stamped on the stem with the maker's mark for Marcus Merriman & Co of New Haven, Connecticut.
    The spoon is about 8 1/2 inches long.
    The spoon weighs 41.4 grams or 1.5 regular ounces.
