    Description

Presented is an old, possibly American coin silver soup or punch ladle made during the 1760s-90s. The piece has a very long handle, with a pointed end. The back of the bowl has two lines of design where it meets the handle. The front of the handle has a monogram of the initials AW inside a wreath of decoration. The engraving is a little bit on the primitive side it looks like it is American.
This piece is not marked but we have tested and guarantee it to be coin silver purity, 900 purity silver.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is an extremely small split, I am not sure that it should even be defined as a split, on one side where the bowl meets the handle but the piece is still structurally sound. There are no dents, no breaks, no other splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The ladle measures 15 1/2 inches long and weighs 172 grams or 6.1 ounces.
