This fine set of 6 coin silver spoons was made by Charles C. Shaver of Utica, NY, ca 1850-1860. The spoons measure 6" long and feature a Victorian pattern in the "Olive" style. The pattern is carried out on the back of the spoons also. The monogram area is engraved with the name "Webster" in cursive script. The spoons are marked with Shaver's mark--"CCS"-- and are also marked with a retailer name, JH Potts. The spoons weigh 122.14 grams together. They are in very good condition with no bending of the handles, no breaks or repairs, no dents, no tip or pattern wear. Beautiful set of American coin spoons.
