Description

Presented is an antique, American silver gravy or sauce serving ladle made during the mid 19th century. This Aesthetic Movement piece was probably made by Gorham or John Wendt, it is definitely reminiscent of their work. The ladle is most likely coin silver purity, but may be 925 sterling silver purity. The handle is done in Seal Top pattern and the top is finely hand engraved with a Gothic/Victorian script monogram of the letter F. The deep, oval or egg shaped bowl has a rose gold wash.
This piece is guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is some light surface wear to the bowl, but no damages or repairs.
