Description
Coin silver tablespoon (just under 8 ¾” long,
bowl just under 1 ¾” at its widest) with engraved initials, by O.D. Seymour of
Hartford, Connecticut, circa 1840s to 1850s. The spoon has O.D. Seymour and
Pure Coin stamped underneath. The initials look to be J.H.S. Oliver Dewitt
Seymour worked with Julius Hollister as Seymour & Hollister in Hartford before
working on his own there from 1846 to 1854. The spoon is in good condition with
some tip wear and a ding near the center of the bowl but with no breaks or
tears. Nice early Victorian coin silver tablespoon! Free first class shipping!
