Description
Coin silver spoon (just under 7” long,
bowl just under 1 ½” at its widest) with fancy scalloped bowl, by F.F. Quintard
of New York City, circa 1840s to 1850s. The spoon has F.F. Quintard stamped underneath,
as well as faux hallmarks (including Lion passant). This may be a sugar spoon
or a jelly spoon. There’s a minor ding at the end of the handle, but the spoon
is otherwise in good or better condition with no damage or significant wear to
the scalloped bowl. I have not cleaned or polished it. Very nice early
